M3U to Xtream: split a link into credentials

One long URL hides exactly three values: server, username and password. Some players want the URL, others want the three fields separately, and providers send whichever one they feel like. This converter does both directions as pure text work — no request is made and nothing leaves the tab.

Two directions, one screen

  1. 1. Split a link

Paste the link and press “Split the parts”. The host, username and password appear in separate copyable boxes. Three shapes are recognised: get.php?username=…&password=…, player_api.php links and stream paths such as /live/user/pass/1234.ts.

  2. 2. Mind the encoding

Passwords containing @, / or : arrive percent-encoded (%40, %2F). The splitter shows the decoded value, which is what you type into a player — if a login fails, re-encode it and test the raw value first.

  3. 3. Build a link

On the “Build an M3U link” tab enter server, username and password and get a get.php-based M3U Plus link. A missing scheme is filled in automatically: example.com:8080 becomes http://example.com:8080.

  4. 4. Know what each value is for

The host is the panel address with its port, the username and password are the account. A player that offers “Xtream API” login wants these three separately; a player that only accepts a playlist URL wants the generated link.

  5. 5. Downloading a file is a different job

This page never downloads a playlist. If you need a .m3u/.m3u8 file with selected categories, use the Xtream → M3U downloader; it streams the list and writes it straight to disk.

Link shapes you may receive

  • • get.php?username=…&password=… — Classic M3U Plus link: one URL that carries the whole account.
  • • player_api.php?… — The API form of the same account; credentials live in the same two query parameters.
  • • /live/user/pass/1234.ts — A single stream path — the same three values, embedded in the path instead of the query.
  • • URL-encoded characters — A password with special characters arrives encoded; decode before typing it into a player.
  • • No network request — The conversion is string handling only: no request, no storage, no log.

What this tool cannot do

It formats text, it does not authenticate: a perfectly built link with wrong credentials still fails. It also cannot tell you whether the account is alive — the account checker does that — and it does not fetch channel lists. And because everything happens in the tab, closing the page removes every value you pasted; keep credentials in a password manager, not in a browser tab.

FAQ

Which forms of link can I paste?+

get.php?username=…&password=…, player_api.php links and stream paths like /live/user/pass/1234.ts. Anything else is treated as plain text and likely rejected.

Is anything sent to a server?+

No. The splitter and the builder are pure browser logic; no request is made and nothing is stored. That is also why it works offline.

Can I create a link from server, user and password?+

Yes, on the “Build an M3U link” tab. The protocol is added automatically when you omit it, so a host:port value is enough.

Where do I get an actual playlist file?+

From the Xtream → M3U downloader. This page only converts between the link and its three parts.
