M3U Studio: clean, filter and split a playlist in one screen

Studio is the bulk-cleaning stop: load the list once and run five operations on it — remove duplicates, drop empty and adult rows, filter by category or search text, sort, then split the result into files you can actually hand to a player. Everything happens in your browser tab.

How a cleanup run works

  1. 1. Load the list

Upload a file, paste the content, or paste a playlist URL. File and paste never leave the browser; a URL is fetched through a stateless proxy only to read it.

  2. 2. Remove duplicates

Choose the key: stream URL (default — safest when the list is a copy of the same panel), channel name, or name + category (use this when the provider changed and URLs differ but names stayed).

  3. 3. Clean and filter

Drop empty and malformed rows, remove adult entries (the filter looks for markers such as adult, xxx, porn, erotik, +18, yetişkin in name or category), then narrow the list by category or a search term. The preview shows the result before you apply it.

  4. 4. Sort

Order by name, category or URL so the exported file is predictable for players that do not sort on their own.

  5. 5. Split and download

Split by category (one .m3u per category) or by chunk size (for example 500 channels per file). Download a single part or all of them in sequence; file names are transliterated to ASCII so every player accepts them.

What Studio does not do

  • • No stream test — Duplicate removal and filtering never open a stream, so dead channels survive a cleanup. Run the M3U checker for that.
  • • No upload — File and paste content stay in the tab; a fetched URL is read through a proxy and never written to disk.
  • • Keyword adult filter — It matches clear markers in names and categories, not actual content — check the preview before you trust it.
  • • ASCII file names — Turkish characters in split file names are transliterated (ş → s, ğ → g) so players and file managers do not choke.

Limits worth knowing

Everything runs in one browser tab, so available memory decides the practical maximum; lists with hundreds of thousands of entries are better handled category by category. Duplicate removal keeps the first occurrence and reports how many rows it skipped — it never merges two different channels into one. There is no undo history here: export a copy first if you are experimenting.

FAQ

Studio or Editor — which one do I need?+

Studio handles bulk operations on the whole list: deduplicate, filter, sort, split. The editor is for surgical work: regex replace, renaming or merging one category, fixing a specific attribute.

Which duplicate key should I choose?+

A copied list from one panel: stream URL. A new provider with different URLs but the same channel names: channel name or name + category. Choosing a name-based key can merge two different feeds that share a name, so check the preview.

Can I undo a Studio operation?+

There is no undo stack, unlike the editor. Keep the original file at hand: reloading it resets every step.

Does splitting change the channel order?+

It keeps the current order. Sort before splitting if you want alphabetical files, because each part is written in the order the channels appear.
